The Ports-to-Plains region, from Texas through North Dakota and Alberta, Canada, is rich in all energy resources.

From traditional resources like oil and gas to renewable resources like wind, solar and biofuels, it truly is North America’s energy heartland.
Development of these resources is critical to our energy security, providing a stable and more affordable power source. Instead of relying on imports from overseas countries, in many cases controlled by unstable and hostile regimes, we can develop our own home grown resources. To fully develop these resources, the energy industry needs adequate transportation infrastructure, whether it is rail or highway to move equipment and products, pipelines or transmission lines.

The Ports-to-Plains Corridor is a vital component of developing North American energy independence.
