Ports-to-Plains Board Member
City of San Angelo, Mayor Pro-tem
P.O. Box 1751
San Angelo , TX 76902
Charlotte Farmer began her service on the Ports-to-Plains Alliance Board of Directors in October 2012 and has served three years on the Ports-to-Plains Southern Work Group Task Force, actively promoting San Angelo as the logical center for rail and truck products; passing between Mexico City and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In doing so, Farmer has acted as a liaison between the alliance and various state and federal officials on problems incurred during the transfer of products through states and countries.
Ms. Farmer has represented Single Member District 6 on the San Angelo City Council since May 2005. During that time, she has served two terms as Mayor Pro Tem, and currently a third. She was recently elected by her fellow Council members for another term. She also serves on numerous committees within the city.
Ms. Farmer was born in Artesia, New Mexico, and has two grown children and five beautiful grandchildren; four of which live in San Angelo.
Ms. Farmer's passion is history and she spends considerable time reading or touring places to re-live how we got to where we are today. She is proud to call San Angelo home and proud to be a part of the best pops concert in the United States.
