The Ports-to-Plains Corridor Interstate Feasibility Study was completed in 2020 by the Texas Department of Transportation due to the approval of H.B. 1079 in 2019. With an extensive process including an Advisory Committee and three Segment Committees, the study demonstrated the benefits of an interstate upgrade of the Ports-to-Plains Corridor to an interstate highway in terms of connectivity, safety and economic benefits.
